On Sunday, September 12th at 10:00am the Rt. Rev. Mary Glasspool, Assistant Bishop for the Diocese of New York, will visit Christ Church for a parish visitation, and to confirm two classes of young people who have been preparing since the fall of 2018 for Confirmation!

We will also call upon Bishop Glasspool to receive adults who have already been confirmed in another Christian tradition and would like to affirm their membership in the Episcopal Church. This is also a moment for adults whose faith practice has waned, or changed, to make a public re-affirmation of faith if they choose.

If you are an adult who has not been confirmed but would like to explore that possibility, please contact one of the clergy; likewise, if you would like to be received into the Episcopal church, or publicly re-affirm your faith, we are happy to speak with you!

All confirmands, those being received, and their families are invited to a breakfast in Taylor Hall at 9:00am on Sunday, September 12th. The Rt. Rev. Mary Glasspool, Assistant Bishop for the Diocese of New York, will join us for breakfast!

Our middle schoolers distribute breakfast and essential items to those experiencing homelessness and hunger.

Midnight Run is a volunteer organization dedicated to finding common ground between the housed and the homeless. Throughout the year, Midnight Run volunteers distribute food, clothing, blankets and personal care items to those experiencing homelessness on the streets of New York City. The late-night relief efforts create a forum for trust, sharing, understanding, and affection. That human exchange, rather than the exchange of goods, is the essence of the Midnight Run mission.
