Early adolescence can be a difficult stage for many. It is also a period when young people begin to challenge authority and question their faith. Our programs for Middle School students welcome those questions and seek to make the most of this period of change and exploration. We strive to encounter the Bible and our faith in everyday language while looking for the hand of God in people and actions all around us. Perhaps then we can see ourselves as part of the living Body of Christ. |

| Seventh Grade
Seventh Grade Confirmands take a thematic approach to studying the Bible – both Old and New Testaments. Much of their growth is centered around applying biblical knowledge, reflection and experience to their daily lives. Regular church attendance and service as an acolyte is required, and participation in Breakfast Runs and Retreats is expected. Eighth Grade Eighth Grade Confirmands study the Sacraments of the Church and explore the meaning and magnitude of the Covenant they will make at their Confirmation. Much of this year revolves around decision-making, discernment, prayer and ethics. Regular church attendance and service as an acolyte is required, and participation in Breakfast Runs and Retreats is expected.
